Statement on ethics
The journal Contrapulso adheres to the ethical procedures established by the International Standards for Authors and Editors, of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). See: https://publicationethics.org/
Contrapulso also maintains the following specific guidelines for editors, authors and reviewers:
Editors:
- are responsible for the content published by the journal.
- should guarantee the blind nature of the evaluations, as well as confidentiality regarding the texts received and proposed for publication.
- should evaluate all documents according to the norms and criteria of the journal.
- should correct errors in the documents received and proposed for publication.
- should communicate clearly to the reviewers that their work must be impartial.
- should ensure that the journal maintains the highest possible standards of quality.
- should work to detect and prevent plagiarism.
Authors:
- are responsible for all the content of their documents.
- should send original work that is academically relevant and corresponds with the topics covered by the journal.
- should ensure that their work includes all necessary citations; plagiarism or self-plagiarism will not be tolerated.
- should notify the editors of any errors in their work once it has been edited for publication.
- should notify the editors if they have received external help in the preparation of their submitted work, and if they have any sources of funding.
Reviewers:
- should maintain full confidentiality in their work with the journal.
- should evaluate the documents received according to the norms and criteria of the journal.
- should notify the editors of any problems they encounter with the documents they receive from the journal, or with the review process in general.
