Reseña de publicaciones

Contrapulso accepts unpublished reviews in Spanish, Portuguese or English, of books written in these languages that deal with any aspects of popular music in Latin America and the Caribbean, published within two years prior to the submission of the review. This refers to academic books, and not to other types of books or published interviews, although we are also interested in books based on investigative journalism. The purpose of the review is to supply information about the content of the book and include a critical evaluation that is justifiable and respectful.

The review should be between 1500 and 2500 words and should include an image with the illustration of the cover of the book, of at least 300 dpi, along with a link where readers can access or request a copy of the book, if possible. The review should display the bibliographic information about the book, in place of a title, as follows:

• Juan Francisco Sans. 2016. Los bailes de salón en Venezuela. Caracas: Fundación Bigott, 161 pp.

At the end of the review, please include the author’s name, institutional affiliation (if relevant) and email address. All reviews will be evaluated by the Editorial Team of Contrapulso prior to publication.

Reviews should be submitted until November 11, 2019 via the Make a Submission button on the website.
